Quiet Influence: Papers of Canadian Diplomats in the °ÍÀè·èÂíÐã Archives

Join Rolph-Bell Archivist Lindsay Grant for an engaging look inside the diplomatic histories preserved at the °ÍÀè·èÂíÐã Archives. This virtual presentation highlights the personal papers of Canadian diplomats whose careers shaped international relations in the twentieth century. We’ll share stories from the collections of figures such as George Ignatieff, Blair Seaborn, John Hadwen, and several others whose work played a quiet but pivotal role in shaping world affairs.

Of Making Many Books: The History of the Trinity Library at 175 Years

Join Nicholls Librarian and Director Kate MacDonald and Distinctive Collections Librarian Rebekah Bedard as they tell stories of the Trinity Library from the founding of the College in 1851 to the present day. This presentation will explore the creation of the library by John Strachan and the library’s time on Queen Street, the history of the library at 6 Hoskin Avenue and the need for a new space, the development of the John W. Graham Library, and the library today as we look ahead to the future. Experience some of the earliest rare books donated to the College, investigate archival photographs and proposed plans of the library in its various locations from the 19thÌý³Ù³ó°ù´Ç³Ü²µ³óÌý21st centuries, and hear reflections from students, faculty, and staff on their library over the years.
